Welcome to Bourne High School's Drama and Theater Arts Program! The Bourne High School Drama Program produces three main stage productions each calendar year during the months of November, March and April.
Our November production this year will be Lionel Bart's engaging musical, Oliver! Based on the Dickens novel, the story will draw you in with its drama while delighting you with its outstanding musical numbers - Food, Glorious Food, I'd Do Anything, Where is Love?, Consider Yourself, and the beautiful, heartfelt, ballad, As Long As He Needs Me.
Production Dates were November 14, 15 and 16.
In March, we will again compete in the Massachusetts High School State Drama Festival, also serving as a regional host for the preliminary round of competition. This year’s date for the preliminary round of competition is February 28, 2015. Our entry piece has been selected by the Festival Theater III/IV students. We will be producing, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday as our Festival 2015 entry. We are excited to announce that our spring production will be Seussical the musical! Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! TONY winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie, and a little boy with a big imagination--Jojo.
Our 2014-2015 school year promises to be an exciting year. We are looking forward to producing quality, entertaining, high school theater for the community to enjoy.
